Annual European Rheological Conference 2025

The laboratory is co-organizing the 2025 annual conference of the European Society of Rheology, from April 14th to 17th, 2025.

Under the auspices of the French Rheology Group (GFR), the IMP Laboratory (CNRS UMR 5223, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, INSA Lyon, Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne), the Rheology and Processes Laboratory LRP (CNRS UMR 5520, Université Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP), and the Physics Laboratory (CNRS UMR 5672, ENS Lyon) are co-organizing the conference, chaired by Prof. Khalid Lamnawar. It will take place at the Cité Internationale, the Lyon Convention Center.

Scientific Program

The organizing committee, alongside a distinguished honorary scientific board, is committed to offering a balanced program catering to both academic and industrial attendees. AERC 2025 will present cutting-edge research and the latest advancements in rheology. The conference will serve as a platform to engage young and experienced rheologists, as well as R&D managers from industry, in discussions on the future of rheology and collaborative innovation.

A special symposium  will focus on the societal impact of rheology, bridging the gap between academic research and industry. Expect roundtable discussions and symposia featuring experts from both sectors, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development and innovative applications of rheology.

Social Program

Beyond the scientific agenda, AERC 2025 offers a rich social program, including tours of Lyon, allowing you to explore the city’s hidden gems. These activities will extend before and after the conference, making it a memorable event for both professional and personal enrichment.
