Research themes/centers of interest d’intérêt
My research focuses on the art of developing and/or formulating precursor monomers, or single-, multiphase or multilayer polymer materials. Studying, understanding and modeling interfacial phenomena, which are very present during the elaboration, shaping and use of such materials. To this end, it is essential to study the behavior of reactive chemical systems or polymers under rheometric conditions during the processing stage. The result is structuring in volume or in thin layers, possibly generated by, or accompanied by, chemical reactions. These are carried out within the polymer itself in the molten state, or at the interfaces in the forming equipment. The scientific challenges specific to this research are linked to the strong coupling between laminar flow, molecular diffusion and reaction aspects at high temperatures in high-viscosity and possibly heterogeneous media
