Silicone / encapsulation / polymerization / bicarbonate / elastomer

Research themes/centers of interest

  • Ionic polymerization in aqueous dispersion (fundamental approach): catalysis, physical chemistry, polymerization schemes, block copolymers.
  • Siilicone additives and materials (applied approach): synthesis and modification of PDMS, formulation and processing of silicone elastomers, new properties (adhesion, self-healing) and new manufacturing routes (foams, 3D printing, reversion).
  • Spontaneous emulsification by Ouzo effect (fundamental approach): phase diagrams, encapsulation, biovectorization openings.
  • Bicarbonate physical chemistry in water (fundamental approach): supersaturation of CO2, interfacial behaviour, CO2 capture.
