My research focuses on the characterization of transport properties of small molecules such as water (in vapor and liquid states), permanent gases and organic compounds (toluene, ethanol) through polymer materials. My work is based on a fundamental approach of transport phenomena, with the aim to elucidate the transport mechanisms and interactions involved in different systems. Small molecules can thus be used in a novel way as molecular-scale “probe” to establish relationships between the structure, morphology and properties of different polymer materials.
