Research themes/centers of interest
My research activities aim to develop ‘macromolecular engineering’ with a view to constructing or deconstructing (recycling) macromolecular structures from fossil or biomass resources, possibly for application purposes. The aim is to develop tools and methodologies adapted to the constraints imposed by the requirements of sustainable development and to enable the emergence of new processes and new materials. Thus, the development of chemical reactions in line with the principles of green chemistry, the use of reaction media that favor the absence of solvents or, if necessary, the use of aqueous or environmentally-friendly solvents and, finally, the search for non-toxic catalytic or initiating systems have been or are being applied to polysaccharides, silicones and to polymers obtained by step growth polymerization.
