Fixed-term contract engineer, master's degree, post-doctoral student: Project Advanced Batch Control for Industry (ABC4I)

Context

The recruitment is part of the Advanced Batch Control for Industry (ABC4I) project.
The project, which is being led by 6 partners (Optimistik, Axel’One, Probayes, Elkem, Adisseo and the IMP laboratory), aims to develop and market innovative online digital analysis solutions based on artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation for real-time production control. The aim is to optimise batch process control with a view to full automation, thereby reducing environmental impact while boosting competitiveness.

Missions

As part of this project, the candidate will be responsible for implementing on-line analysis in a batch process for synthesising functional silicone oils. Various on-line analysis will be considered (Near Infra-Red, Raman, NMR, conductimetry, etc.). The candidate will also be involved in process data acquisition, data formatting and analysis, as well as oral and written reporting.

The candidate will be required to work with the various project partners, in particular AxelOne (Solaize site).

Expected skills

Knowledge of polymers (chemistry and physicochemical characterizations).
Experience in polymer analysis would be appreciated (particulary in NMR).

Contract

The contract will be managed by Insavalor (INSA Lyon valorization company).
