Research themes/centers of interest

Design and development of polymer materials for healthcare applications: hydrogels, solutions and suspensions, fibers, nanoparticles, etc. Materials made from natural polymers (chitosans, hyaluronic acid, alginates, etc.), avoiding if possible any chemical modification.
Characterizations of the macromolecular structures of polymers; study of the rheological, mechanical and biological properties of the final materials.
Main applications: tissue regeneration (colorectal tissue, dental pulp tissue, cartilage, myocardium, bone tissue, etc.), delivery of active molecules or macromolecules (proteins of interest, RNA, drugs, etc.).
